Quality Assurance Technician

Profile

Due to an exciting period of growth and investment, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Quality department. The aim of the role is to ensure the quality of the product meets the criteria of defined standards, helping to ensure these standards are met and maintained at all times, and assisting in the continued development of quality standard

Key Responsibilities

  • Type testing: Carrying out product and raw material testing of our product across a range of EN and ASTM standards
  • Reporting: Keeping records and results and notifying the Quality Manager of any discrepancies in a prompt manner
  • Calibration: Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment and holding accurate records
  • Investigation: Assisting in the investigations of issues with the finished products, and managing this process in the absence of the Quality Manager
  • Process Development: Involvement in assuring the quality processes are effective and being followed at all times
  • Auditing: Assisting with internal audits relating to quality standards


We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of working in a QC / Quality Assurance role, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience of following a consistent product testing process
  • A strong and confident communicator of written and verbal English
  • A good eye for detail
  • A high level of organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A capacity to learn processes quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Experience of working within ISO:9001 standards is considered very desirable

Production Warehouse Operative

The role

Working in the busy Production Warehouse the role requires a positive working attitude. The role will involve operating forklifts (training will be provided), picking and transferring raw materials for production, general warehouse duties and housekeeping, all whilst following the strict health and safety procedures of the company.

The role is a demanding job that requires standing or moving in all weather conditions but has great rewards for the right candidate.

Hours of work: Mon to Fri, 06:00 – 18:00, to begin with, changing to rotating shifts, 3 days, 3 nights, 3 off after training

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

For this post you will receive the following benefits:

  • A starting salary of current minimum wage which will increase on completion of 3 month probationary period. 55hrs per week
  • Long service holiday awards after 2 full calendar years

The person

Experience of an industrial, warehousing or distribution environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

We require a good level of written and spoken English and a great work ethic due to the demanding nature of the job.

This post would suit someone who is a good team player with a flexible attitude, a basic understanding of health and safety and the willingness to learn and develop in an exciting industry.

Due to the location of our site your own transport will be required.


Production Operatives

Required immediately for permanent contract producing Aluminium Composite Panels.
