Multipanel UK is an established manufacturer of aluminium composite material near Dover, Kent. We are looking for an electrical Engineer to work in our Engineering department, ideally with experience in a continuous process manufacturing facility. The aim of the department is to establish an engineering service function which will ensure reliable equipment and optimized performance levels against quantified targets.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure an amicable relationship with in house customer departments.
- Ensure availability of plant equipment by adherence to Preventive maintenance schedules.
- Effective monitoring of equipment performance.
- Effective communication with all role players.
- Analytical and methodical in problem solving.
- Ensure compliance to Health & Safety requirements.
- Risk assessments.
- Ensure sound root cause analysis principals.
- Promoter of team work and must be able to self-manage.
- Proven experience in an industrial environment
Skills
- Working knowledge of Electrical systems up to 425 V, including distribution, switching, control and testing.
- Working Knowledge of Mechanical systems, including power transmission, rollers, bearings, conveyance, Hydraulic, water and air systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens & Omron)
- Be able to demonstrate experience in multi-disciplinary coordination.
- Ability to work under pressure and un supervised.
- Innovative lateral thinker and problem solver.
- Flexible working attitude.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Recognized Engineering qualification. Diploma / Degree (level 3)
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
Preferred
- Proficient in Windows software and Drawing software.
- Electrical biased.
- Preferably NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering qualified
- Call out rota system and overtime available

Skills
- Machine Operating / assisting with general production / working on the production line.

- Perform any other duties within manufacturing as requested.
Terms and conditions of employment:
- Shift pattern is 5on 2off (Monday-Friday, which likely to be changed to Tuesday-Saturday). Currently only on day shifts, however it is likely that night-shifts will be required in the futures .
- Total working hours are 62.5 per week with include breaks with are unpaid
- Shift start 5:45 (am/pm) and finished 6:15 (am/pm)
- Starting hourly rate is £10.00p/h raising to £10.50 after successful 3 months probation and raising to £11.50 after learning all positions on the line (becoming multi-skilled operator)
- Overtime rate is 1.25 for days and 1.38 for nights
- Target bonus available every month if production hits company targets and quarterly bonus based on performance
- 28 days of annual holiday entitlement including of bank holidays, paid 11.5hrs per holiday

- Currently day and night shifts required
- Shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on. (Day and night shifts arranged weekly)
- Shift starts at 5:45 am/pm and ends 6:15 am/pm
- Total working hours are 40.25 per week with include breaks with are unpaid
- Starting hourly rate is £10.00p/h raising to £10.50 after successful 3 months’ probation. Raising to £11.50 after learning all positions on the line. (becoming a multi-skilled operator)
- Overtime rate is for days and 1.38 for nights.
- Monthly bonus if production hits company targets.
- Quarterly bonus based on performance
- 28 days of annual holiday entitlement including bank holidays, paid 1.5hrs per holiday.
